Zookoda made quite a splash when it was launched and continues to do so till today. The service was recently acquired by PayPerPost and continues to grow. In fact they crossed the 10,000 registered members mark just last month.
First of, it’s Free! Next the service allows you to create manage all your email newsletter subscribers and deliver newsletters that can match your blog design. You can upload email addresses and build custom mailing lists along with blog subscriptions forms that you can use on your blog to sign people up with your newsletters.
The reporting though is one function that I do not see in the free email delivery of feedburner, the service I currently use. Zookoda shows you how many subscribers opened your emails, how many clicked on items in it and the number of people that have unsubscribed. So if you get more unsubscribers than subscribers it’s time to rethink your newsletter strategy and/or content.
Zookoda is not only for blog email but also for content providers. So if you own a website and have a RSS feed as part of it then you can offer email newsletters to subscribers via Zookoda as well.
You can set your broadcast to be recurring, so basically you can just set it and forget it…well, OK not really as you will probably want to tweak as you see your stats and such. You can also develop your own email templates.
I might just give it a try, Do any you use Zookoda to deliver email newsletters? If so, How has your experience been?
