April Blog Round Up

Well I’m two days late, but I don’t want to break tradition so here is my April Round Up.

April was a very interesting month as it was the most high traffic month for me, Ever. The blog got an amazing 61932 unique visitors with 73715 page views. Compare that to March and well I won’t say the exact figure but it was a 1122% increase in traffic. Now this was mostly due to one of my articles on web design hitting the front page of digg, which to this day gets around 50 - 100 visitors from all the link backs it got, even from an employee blog on macromedia. The best part was that it was linked also by tutorial blog from within their post and their post got dugg as well and I got a lot of ensuing traffic. So yeah, that was cool.

I have no idea what to expect in terms of traffic this month, but I’m concentrating more on quality content plus other marketing ideas. So let’s see how that goes. As for goals, the site increased overall in Google PR from 4 to 5, alexa traffic rankings, technorati rankings and RSS subscribers as well.

Income on the blog is steadily rising mostly due to the fact that advertisers are buying sponsored reviews, you can also order a ReviewMe review, plus Google Ads are doing fine as well. I’ve added Shopzilla publisher ads on the sidebar and I constantly change them to keep it fresh. So far so good.

Looking forward to how May shapes up, it’s my lucky month by the way. My birthday falls on the 13th
