I’m back where I started - Google PageRank Update

In Google PR terms I mean. When I launched this website last year it was a PR 5 right off the bat. But then I neglected it, I wish now so dearly I hadn’t, as it fell to a 4. The Google PR is now back at my starting position of 5. Some of the datacenters have yet to be updated.

I keep thinking to myself if I hadn’t neglected it probably the domain would be a 6 or even a 7. Who knows?!

Anyway, now that my domain has regained its lost composure I hope that some advertisers might actually jump on board, check out my advertising section for the details. My traffic levels are increasing day by day and I’ve pretty much beat all goals I’ve set for myself concerning that aspect, so I’m excited that something stayed on track.

You can check your own PR status at this website.

The other site I own which is a fashion website, has dropped to a 3 {from a 4 on the blog} which kinda sucks as I’ve sold out all my text link ads on that site. So I hope those advertisers stay on as they do get some pretty decent traffic for the price. Now with the addition of TLA’s post level ads hopefully I’ll be able to sell some links on a per post basis for both the blogs. The fashion site was a PageRank 6 by the way when I started it, yep in the first 1 - 2 months it was live it got a 6. I don’t know how that happened?

As for spam - 20,000 comments blocked and counting. It’s a month to the day when I reached 10,000 spammy comments.

In the end it’s just one little green line, which says it’s half full.

  1. Good to see you climbing back. My blog dropped from a 5 to a 4 recently and I was hoping this update would push it back up. Let’s hope it’s not all over yet …

  2. When a PR update happens, it doesn’t happen all at once - Google has many ‘datacenters’, and your new PR will ‘percolate’ between those datacentres over the next few days to a week.
