WallHogs - Digital Prints Gone Big

*Sponsored Presentation*

WallHogs decided to create some buzz through Sponsored Reviews and I got a chance to select their offer as it looked interesting and something you, my readers would probably like.

The service is quite simple, they offer specialty digital printing at affordable prices. From the site you can see that they want to target the people that want BIG digital prints of their pictures on Reusable Vinyl, Glossy Posters or as Canvas Prints.

Glossy Posters

I had a look at the Glossy Posters area as that was something that interested me the most. Using a six color digital print process you can make high gloss posters from your photos that can be up to 7 feet tall! With prices starting at $19.99 for a 24″X4ft poster the pricing does seem reasonable. Shipping prices were not mentioned so I don’t know how much that costs.

Accepting 6 file sizes the images have to be min. 300 dpi for prints larger than 48“, the rest can be done with a min. of 72 dpi.

Remember – the output quality is only as good as the input quality of the image.

The people behind the site look quite passionate and confident about their services, the proof of that is the 100% money back guarantee.

Ordering

The ordering process couldn’t be simpler with uploading an image, selecting your media type and placing your order, no minimum. Free account creation required. Takes 15 seconds - no seriously!

The option that I’m waiting to see happen is the “Start Selling” option which is coming soon. Because as of now you can shop prints from their own catalog of images, and I presume the “Start Selling” would enable others to upload images and generate revenue of printed images from others.

Photographers do have the option to sign up right now but I presume it’s upon acceptance as the FAQ on that link does not work, presently.

Wallhogs looks easy and calm and I like that, with all the other Web 2.0 type sites trying to be more garish than the others, they seem to be more about providing a functional service. In the end that’s what matters.
