Making Money on the Internet & Goals - March Roundup

Well April is here and I’ll be taking this post to go over March and how I did on the internet. First off I would like to recap about the goals I set in March for myself and this blog in particular.

  • Increase RSS subscribers by 100 at the very least - Well as you can see from my feedburner stats I couldn’t attain that goal. For April I hope to break through the 200 barrier and hopefully more.
  • Top 100,00 in Alexa - Meaningless but still a level to measure something by. Currently this blog ranks at 83,332. For April I’m aiming at getting into the top 50,000 - at least.
  • I would say I’ve been writing an average of 3 posts a day - I will maintain this level, interspersed with some commercial breaks here and there.
  • Valuable resource - From my stats I can see that there have been a lot of repeat visitors and for that I thank you all. My traffic has increased by 40% over February for March. A lot of it is search engine based.

Blog income went up 28% for March over February. Though I will not be disclosing it anymore as this blog is more than just about making money online. I want to draw visitors here for the content I write and not how much money I make. So from now I will not state how much this blog is making me instead I will reiterate the importance of setting { and writing down } goals and following them through.

Goals for April

  • Begin two new channels on the blog { watch the blog for updates }
  • Plan a vacation for August or earlier { yep, a vacation is definitely a goal to earn and look forward to  }
  • Get my other two domains live on the internet
  • Hire my first blogger!, part time for now { yes, that’s right I will be hiring someone to write on this blog, have other stuff going on too }

So what about you? What are your goals for April?

By the way if you are a technology blogger and would like to contribute around 2 - 3 posts a week to this blog, then send me an email. This is a paid gig of course.

  1. Nice you made more than February and you reached your goals !!

  2. Sounds like you are doing quite well. Nice report! Be careful in that hiring thing. You see how I have been burned by my bloggers? :)
