In continuing with my quest to find out what successful people read or visit on the internet I got two more responses to my queries. This time it is from Ted Murphy of PayPerPost and Mike Davidson of Newsvine.
From my past writeups on successful people bookmarks I have liked Alex King’s list and Joe of Webby’s World list the most interesting. John Chow being a car fanatic obviously had a lot of car websites in his list.
So here we go -
Ted Murphy of PayPerPost.com
The sites I visit most have changed a bit since I started PayPerPost. I have been exposed to a lot of new sites that I didn’t even know existed prior to starting down this path. I am a bit of a workaholic so I tend to visit sites that have to do with my work.
CDW.com - I order all of our hardware and software through them. They have great service, support and the prices are very competitive.
ThinkSecret.com and macnn.com- I am an Apple addict.
TechCrunch.com - I think they do a good job of covering new technologies and companies. I think the commentary can be a bit annoying, but the content is pretty good. { meh! mine’s better }
Technorati.com - It’s a great way to find out what the heck is going on in the blogoshpere.
Flickr.com - I am a photo buff.
Not all that exciting is he. I guess being in charge of a business can perhaps change what websites you visit everyday.
Mike Davidson of Newsvine.com - This is really interesting you have to check out his blog and read some of the content it goes from informative to downright hilarious. I love how all his comments are numbered.
His list -
Bloglines { kind of major, but have to include since I visit it 100x more than any other site }
Hot Chicks With Douche Bags { yep, you read that right }
Freakonomics { a good read }
Glad Well { interesting blog }
So there you have it. Which of the above lists you like the most?
If you want me to feature you and your favorite blogs/sites in the next part of this series, send me an email. I’ll link to you as well.
Rules - List your Top 5 bookmarked sites/blogs that you visit often. No social bookmarking (digg, del.icio.us etc…) or mainstream news sites (cnn, msnbc etc…). Also if your list reads like techcrunch, gigaom, johnchow please don’t bother. The more varied the content is the better.
