Technically Speaking recently wrote about this site and it peaked my interest too. After all there is always space to insert another Ad code your site…well ok, maybe not.
Kumomo lets advertisers buy ad space on your site or blog from publishers. The best part is that you get 99% of the cost of your ad space. So say if you decide your space if worth $100, then you get $99 and the $1 goes to Kumomo for securing the space through them.

They have two variations one known as the Physical Ad Space and the other as the Online Ad Space.
Your Physical Ad Space is space that is available anywhere else except online. So say you own a restaurant and you want to sell an Ad spot behind your receipt or on the backside of the menu, or a bus or toilet seats in Paris as the site illustrates. You could do so through Kumomo.
The Online Ad Space is what you would expect, where you get to choose various formats and give a price to your ad space. You can also decide if you want to donate all or 1% of your ad space price to charity. The Kumomo Tree is where you can get all the information on the charity aspect of it.
Feel free to suggest your own charity project.
I see this as a novel idea, but will it get the attention of mainstream sites and blogs, probably not. Will it cater to smaller type of blogs and websites, probably yes. Which is not bad at all as there are a huge pool of people in that category.
The site itself is very new and I think there will be a specific niche area of the internet and offline advertising population that will grab onto this. I actually see them being more popular offline than on. Would like to know your opinion on this.
