Photoshop going 3D with CS3

  • Posted under: Design on March 9, 2007

The de-facto graphics application used in the graphic design industry is going 3D for their next release in photoshop CS3. There will be two versions released of the software Photshop CS3 and Photoshop CS3 Extended.

For those who pay attention to this sort of stuff you will know that Photoshop CS3 beta has been out for sometime now, which was promptly and duly hacked may I add. Some of the new features are automatic layer alignment and blending, that enable advanced compositing. Live filters which boost the comprehensive, nondestructive editing toolset for increased flexibility. And a streamlined interface and new time-saving tools make your work flow faster.

Photoshop CS3 is ideal for:

  • Professional Photographers
  • Serious Amateur Photographers
  • Graphic and Web Designers
  • Print Service Providers

Photoshop CS3 Extended is ideal for:

  • Multi-media Creative Professionals
  • Film and Video Creative Professionals
  • Graphic and Web Designers who are pushing the limits of design with 3D and motion
  • Manufacturing Professionals
  • Medical Professionals
  • Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) Professional
  • Scientific Research Professionals
  • Me

This new development comes on the heels of Adobe announcing that they were looking to make a free online version of Photoshop available for online photo editing.

Me being a fan of the software am really looking forward to having a look at the Extended version when it is made available. Due Spring 2007.
