Another month has come and gone, February especially comes and goes away so fast because of 2 - 3 days missing.

In my past post I talked about how I’m getting myself on the road to financial independence via blogging. A lot of people make their living by simply blogging 8 hrs a day/5 days a week. Some sell little 125 X 125 banner ads for $10,000, some write reviews from paid advertiser networks, and some make money by just selling links on their blogs. I do sell banner ads for $30 a month (so far) and don’t have any takers yet, the option is still available. Also my text links sell for $20 a month (get $100 off). Apart from that I also write paid reviews (disclosure) and have a few PPC Ads on the site.

Paid Opps - $483.98 (160% increase from last month)
PPC - $2.17 (the reason for this is because I removed most of my PPC ads for the month, except Chitika which didn’t really bear any fruit)

Net Total - $485.54
Advertising cost - $44.36
Grand Total - $441.18

For March, I expect the PPC amount to be significantly higher as I optimize it further and I expect the paid opps to also increase at the same percentage. Plus I am also looking at adding relevant affiliate promotions as well, nothing too intrusive though I promise.

You are probably thinking why would I bother disclosing how much I make?

Well since I do take paid opps and disclose them I would like you the reader to know as well how much I made. I only take opps that I know you will like and most probably benefit from. Plus being a full time freelancer and trying to make a living on the web I also want to encourage others who are trying to do the same.

“Those” people who say bloggers taking paid opps are a disgrace to blogging, huh! I would like to ask them would they still be doing what they did from the comfort of their homes if they didn’t have those banner ads on their blogs or PPC ads for that matter. Trust me they wouldn’t be doing it for one single minute more.

Money is involved in all aspects of life, it is needed for survival. As a family man I have absolutely no problem in promoting products/sites for a fee on my blog, if I feel that my readers would like them as well.
