Most people try to get more traffic to their blog through various methods. From buying links, good ‘ol SEO, leaving comments on other blogs, link exchanges, blog traffic exchange communities and more.
Your own blog can drive traffic to you as well with a just a few tips.
1. Link to yourself, that’s right include a link to your own blog be it in the footer, sidebar wherever just link to yourself, it helps I don’t know how but Google has this blog indexed linking it to itself numerous times - I’m not an SEO expert but I think it helps somewhere down the line. If you are an SEO expert then tell me otherwise.
2. Deep link to yourself. Say at times you have written about RemotePC Access, about gadgets for women, a Lacoste Sale (I get so many hits from Google to this specific page) or even about how to help the environment or whatever. People need to know about this stuff. Most of them are lazy to click more than twice so just give them a link. Did you notice how I used keywords everywhere - in bold.
3. Make sure your post titles are descriptive as they will be reflected on your title for the web page as well.
4. If you find that your running out of topics to talk about or regurgitating content then add another category and start writing about that. It could be about Jujitsu or Nucleic Acid, if it interests you there are bound to be a few hundred or thousand more who are.
These are some basic tips for getting more traffic to your blog and increasing your page views, try them out and see how it works out. I hope they help you as they have helped me.
