The number of user submitted social sites that have a digg like model or similar have grown out of proportion to even count. Here’s yet another one.

StoryEvent had a huge surge in traffic when it launched last October according to Alexa, but then subsequently diminished.

The site allows you submit your favorite, videos, news, sexy pictures *ahem* etc…and then the users simply vote a plus if they like it. Hot submitted items get linked on the main home page.

The other thing it also is an online magazine type of thing where some of the hottest young writes of today can join. I really don’t know how this feature is supposed to work as I just couldn’t make myself to register to try it out. If you have signed up please let us know in the comments what it means.

The usual things like save to favorites and other features. Overall a ho-hum attempt to try and duplicate the interactivity of digg.
