Need Online Backup - iBackUp is your solution

As a full time web freelancer my work involves files that are huge in filesize plus they need to be securely backed up.

Nowadays instead of burning them onto countless re-writeable disks I look at online storage as an option. IBackup.com is one such company that offers you Online Backup and Storage for consumers and small businesses alike. IBackup supplies users with a downloadable application which you can use to manage your daily backup requirements.

The products they offer range from IDrive and IDrive multimedia which allows you drag and drop, open, edit and save files all on your backup account as if they were on your local computer. The multimedia option lets you stream video and audio using your favorite media player. You can read more here about Multimedia and IDrive. Mac users need not feel left out as IDrive is available for the Mac as well. For all these applications a 128 bit SSL encryption connection is a general feature among the many others.

Not just an option for home users IBackup also provides professional programs for the higher requirements of businesses and establishments for increased security and data retention. 256 bit encryption is provided and is automatically decrypted during restores. Your restores can go up to 30 prior versions which is a good thing in case you want to go back to a certain point of time and don’t have to save multiple versions on your own hard disk which would eventually slow your computer down.

Pricing starts from $9.95 a month for 5GB of storage, which in my case will be used up in a day, and go up to $299.95 a month for 300 GB of storage in the economy plans.

Other services include Web-Manager, WebFolders, SQL Server Backup, Exchange Server Backup apart from IBack for Windows, IDrive, IDrive Multimedia, IDrive for Mac which make up the IBackup family of products. Then you have the IBackup professional and IBackup for Quicken/Quickbooks and RemotePC.

And you can try before you buy, but before you do so you can view the demo’s for all the products mentioned above and see which suits you best. It’s a wise decision to always have backup of your files especially if you work as a professional or you are a small business your data is off the most importance to you. Without your data…well it’s gonna be tough!

My friend recently shifted his office to a more upmarket area. But he was devastated when he found that almost all the data he had backed up has simply disappeared. It was a real blow as his firm did only weekly and fortnightly data.

I compelled him to consider online backup with an application like IBackup to avoid further data loss nightmares. The application can be used for secure backups and restores of critical data. The process is fast, reliable and error-free with a plethora of features to deliver much more than is expected from such software. There is no file size restriction as in Carbonite and IBackup operates across multiple platforms like Windows and Mac.

I got to convince my friend that having an online backup service like IBackup to take care of your data is the first step to data security. It is an undisputed fact that IBackup has the most comprehensive online backup solution available today.
