Ever felt the need to crop an image but don’t want to wait for photoshop or your other photo editing tool to load and then open it in there. Well look no further than picnik to do all your photo editing, at least the basic stuff, online.

You can do stuff like fix underexposure, remove red-eye’s and apply effects like sharpening of the image, cropping it and rotating it among more functions that are available. You can try it out with a demo account as well before registering your own.

Uploading of photos is a breeze either get them from your computer, a website, search through yahoo or flickr (authorization req’d with flickr) or take wide smily picture of yourself from your web cam to have fun with.

They have more creative tools that are apparently coming soon. Now you’ll notice that is a completely flash based web application. Some people might not be too happy about that but let me tell you after trying out the demo I was quite impressed with the speed of it.

One little trick I found out, click on the logo on the top left and the whole application goes full screen. Nice touch.
