If you are part of any blog/site surfing program and run Google Adsense on your blog/site be careful as they may just send you an email about it.
What’s quite surprising is that even if in the past you have not received any clicks through people that come through such means they decide to send you an email threatening to block you from the program as well as take back the money for any “invalid clicks” WTF.
The stupid part is that they never bothered to think that before the ads started generating revenue, but were yet getting impressions, and even if your stats clearly show that you also have growing traffic from search engines, social bookmarking sites and forums it might not help convince them. Those blog surfers did not click on any ads before, so why would any clicks seem to be “invalid” now?
Google let’s get this straight OK. When people surf blogs it is not about coaxing people to click on the ads, it is about getting people to become readers of the blogs.
If they think it is some sort of gimmick to fool people into thinking they are doing something wrong they better re-think their strategy because in the end it will just give them more haters and have people migrate to other ad publishing formats.
Apparently they can also write to you for being bookmarked on popular social sites where you can very well expect to see a sudden and huge surge in traffic coupled with revenue from your ads. It has happened in the past to people.
Don’t get me wrong though their program is great for monetizing your blog/site. But if you end up getting an email from them stating some of the above rhetoric here’s what you should do.
Sit down, write as many bad things you can think of saying to them by the time you’re done with your writing you’ll feel much better and think clearly enough to re-write your email back to them(if you want to) explaining where you get traffic from and then the world will be a better place once again. If you don’t want to write back to them that’s fine just type out in notepad whatever you ‘really’ want to say, then get a glass of 100% pure OJ or some hot tea or coffee and and it will help to calm your mind.

Yes, I’ve had that happen to me. I’ve had Google Ads on Three of my sites for a couple of years. They don’t bring me much but I got a nasty letter from Google saying they had detected an automated clicking program or some bullshit and threatened not to pay me (So far I haven’t made enough to get a cheque). So I wrote to them categorically denying it and pointing out if I were going to do it I’d make sure it was for more than the 10 bucks a month the Adsense Ads bring me now. Never even heard back from them. Which I find bloody rude. But you get that. It’s another Microsoft monster gobbling up its competitors (like YouTube). So much for making millionbs out of Adsense. I’d be happy if it just paid the costs of my host – which it pretty well does now. But it’s all a

Oh man it’s just crazy right now. I got the same letter in regards to a search engine I run. I have been doing AS for a few years now, when all of a sudden, I received this omnious letter telling me that I’m clicking my ads and they would adjust my pay. LOL! I was like what?!
It’s really hard to solve these sort of problems. And I don’t think it’s always the best thing to call them up about it. You might bring more unwanted attention to yourself.

I think the best thing to do is just ignore them the first time around and if they write back again, well just stop surfing those networks and write for your blog instead.
