Montage-a-google is a really cool web based app which will use Google’s image search and generate a grid of images that show up for any specific keyword typed in.
It’s really fun to do and see what pops up, though the images are limited to 20 and they keep repeating themselves in random places of the grid. You will need version 8 of the Flash player to view it so go get it if you’re not sure you have it.
You can print out the resulting montage and use it anyway you like. The only limitation with the app is the 20 max images that are used other than that you can resize the montage increase or decrease the amount of images per row and use hi-res images instead of thumbnails, which load faster by they way.
So go ahead and get montagoogling. (I just made up a new word, quick call Oxford Dictionary).
Once you have made your montage go ahead and tag it on flickr so we can all see.
If you’re wondering how to save your montage when you have made it its quite easy you can do it with Microsoft Paint even, which all PC’s have.
1. Make your montage
2. Press Print Screen on your keyboard
3. Open MS Paint
4. Paste
5. Use the select tool and select the area that the montage is on
6. Cut
7. Open a new document and paste again
8. Save image as whatever and upload to flickr (if you want to)
Have fun! Here’s mine below for the search term Web 2.0

That’s really neat Ali, thanks!
I wonder if later on they will allow people to upload their own photos to create a montage.
