I remember in college when they used to have new textbooks for every new semester and the books from a year ago were apparently outdated as new ‘editions’ were printed. Of course they were a total a ripoff for a few different words that meant the same thing in the new ‘editions’
Walamu.com- The World’s Largest College Classifieds Network is a site where you can post anything for sale or buy anything that is up for sale. You can create your own user profile, add classified listings, sell and buy textbooks all with confidence. But what’s even more cool is the story on how this began. Now this is a sponsored review but I choose to write about this as I feel it is inspirational.
A story of a student who ate more ramen noodles than you can imagine, I ate cheese slices with plain white bread that had to be defrosted first as I stored it frozen, and sleeping in the library for nights in a row. Frustrated with the scramble to find text books that he could buy off from senior students after jumping campus to campus this student used the nights he spent living at the University library where he studied to build walamu.com so that other students didn’t have to face what he did.
Now students don’t need to hunt down other students to look for a textbook they can just use walamu’s service to find it on their campus or of any other campus nearby.
It’s stories and efforts like these that build tomorrow’s innovators and thinkers. I hope you agree.
