Google - coming soon to a radio near you

Let’s face it for the next 5, 10 or even more years we will hear about Google and what they’re doing to make the world a better advertising haven for everybody and anybody who can benefit from it.

Radio is the new ad star in the plethora of Google products and it is going to be big in more ways than one. They have already started the beta with a few Adwords advertisers, from their blog.

Now even when people are sitting in their cars going to work, driving back home and even while lazing around the house on a Sunday afternoon you might just hear a jingle saying brought to you by Google on your favourite radio station. Hundreds of stations have become part of the new scheme with a combined audience of millions of listeners.

It seems to be an automated service where an advertiser would create a radio ad campaign, select the area, the demographics of the audience, time, day etc… and then how much they are wiling to pay for the air time.

The day won’t be far when Google decides to enter the realm of TV advertising and who knows what else. I for one, can only take so much of them then it just gets invasive.
